3 Jewelries I Love from the new Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers Collection
I’m quite new at collecting jewelry. My first real gold ring was passed on to me when I was in grade school by my mom. I never really understood the value of it. I assumed my Winter Princess Barbie was a lot more expensive than my itsy-bitsy ring. So it didn’t take a long time before I lost it (looking back now, it was a very cute ring, it had gold, rosegold, and platinum in it — so sayang!). My mom was, of course, extremely disappointed and stopped entrusting me with expensive shiny things after that. I never wanted to lose another piece of jewelry ever again since then, so jewelry wasn’t something I grew up investing on.
Not until I received my first Return to Tiffany Heart Tag Pendant necklace, with my initials engraved on it. It was a gift from someone very special to me and I finally understood and appreciated the story and sentiment behind it. In a way Tiffany and Co. ignited the little jewelry collector in me. So I was really excited to see the new Tiffany Paper Flowers collection designed by Reed Krakoff (Tiffany’s new chief artistic officer). One of the sets that stood out for me the most was the Tiffany Paper Flowers diamond in platinum with blue cushioned-cut rare Tanzanite accent gems. They were just so precious! It’s the perfect “something blue” for a bride to wear at her wedding.

FLOWER EARRINGS
The Tiffany Paper Flowers diamond and tanzanite flower earrings in platinum is one of my top favorite pieces from this collection. Its design is inspired by the idea of abstract flower petals and it is absolutely stunning. One of its key features that I, as someone who easily loses jewelry, appreciated was it’s extra secure lock that needed to be squeezed to release.
CLUSTER NECKLACE
Tiffany Paper Flowers diamond and tanzanite cluster necklace in platinum has got to be my favorite piece from the entire collection. It is the most beautiful and the most expensive necklace I’ve ever worn. My heart ached a little when it was removed from my neck and returned to Tiffany and Co.! Haha! It’s a delicate, sophisticated, statement necklace that I’m sure lots of girls will love.

FLOWER RING
Tiffany Paper Flowers diamond and tanzanite flower ring in platinum reminded me of Samantha Jones’ fabulous flower ring she wore in Sex and the City (SATC). Remember the ring she lost in an auction and then later on received as gift from her beau Smith? This is the smaller, cuter, and more wearable version of that insanely big flower ring.
I love how even though the Tiffany Paper Flowers jewelries were studded with brilliant diamonds, they still managed to look approachable and wearable, instead of coming off intimidating.
