I FOUND A SKINCARE BRAND MY SKIN LOVES
SHISEIDO SKINCARE
My First Shiseido Experience
It felt like I found a hidden beauty treasure! I’ve never tried Shiseido before. I thought the brand looked too mature, and intimidating. Plus I also rarely see their campaigns or see other beauty gurus use it. So i wasn’t aware at how good their skincare line is right until Sample Room introduced me to it through Shiseido’s Beauty Fair event and a box full of Shiseido samples, which i believe was (or still is) up for grabs at Sample Room’s website. I love — no exaggeration here guys! — almost all the skincare sample products I’ve tried so far in the box, and i ended up purchasing one item asap.

FAVE SERUM
I got one of their bestselling products, the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. It’s suppose to boost your skin’s immune system to reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and dullness. Some says you use this before your serum… I like to use it as my main serum. It does the job well enough. It’s a thin white liquid with soft floral scent that gets absorbed by my skin fast. It doesn’t leave any sticky feelz and it dries up silky in texture. It also stays matte all day, I can see this working for people with oily skin type.
I love that my face looks noticeably smoother and brighter every time I use this. In a way it does what a super light coverage foundation would do for me (minus concealing pimple scars). So on days when i don’t want to wear makeup, which btw happens a lot especially when I work out at the gym, i just apply this product on my skin.
FACIAL WASH &
CORRECTING SERUM
I also got to review two more products from Shiseido and Sample Room. I enjoyed using the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Gel cos of its fresh scent and luxurious silky texture. A little goes a long way with this cleanser. It removes dirt and makeup nicely (not so well with waterproof makeup) and no matter how frequent I use it, it doesn’t dry out my skin. Also happy to report that I didn’t get any pimples or skin irritation from using it.
The Shiseido On Makeup Spot Correcting Serum is my new trusty handy pen concealer. You twist its bottom end to pump out a pea size amount of the product that’s already more than enough to conceal my dark under eye circles. I didn’t have any dark spots on my face, but I tried on a dark spot I had on my arms and it covered up the spot nicely. I was impressed that it has a medium to full coverage, it spreads evenly, and blends on my skin seamlessly. It also lasted the whole day with slight fading after 10 hours.
