Top 2 Concealers : High End & Drugstore
I finally get to blog and read blogs again after what feels like FOREVER. I missed it :) and today I’m back bearing good recos for you guys. I needed (still do) a really good product I can count on to hide my deepest darkest secrets — pimples, scars, and my horrendous dark under eye circles. So I’ve been trying different concealers for awhile now, and these are the best ones I’ve used so far…
brightening concealer
Three words to describe the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer — brightening, comfortable, and moisturizing. It has that “wake me up” effect when applied underneath the eye and it’s feels so so light when worn.
Thin concealers usually don’t last on me but thankfully this stuff does (as long as I don’t hang out at hot humid places or else it’s like it was never even there). The only thing I hate about it is it settles in between my under eye lines a few minutes after application, which is easily fixable but still potentially annoying.
Important gist you need to know about this product — it only gives a medium coverage. In a way what it lacks in coverage it makes up for it’s nice brightening effect. But it still doesn’t hide blemishes very well so if you need stronger coverage then the next concealer is more for you.

Oh Collection where have you been all my life. Their Lasting Perfection Concealer is an excellent and inexpensive concealer that actually beats a couple of high end products (e.g. MAC and Benefit concealers) in quality and performance. And I got this for only PHP300 / USD7 guys! Tanya Burr, Zoella, and many other EU beauty vloggers whose names escape me right now raved about this.
It’s thicker in consistency than the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer and has a full coverage on me. It is also a touch sticky — not in a bad way. I feel like it makes the concealer less likely to sink in between wrinkle lines, cause that rarely happens when I wear this. It lasts an entire day. And althought it isn’t moisturizing it also doesn’t make my under eye area dry, which is usually my major problem with most thick concealers.
which is better?
Personally, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is better for me (most of the time) especially when I want a full coverage, too much darkness to hide lol. Plus it amazes me how good and inexpensive this is. But if I scratch the need for a full coverage to hide scars and pimples and I just want something to enhance my makeup look, then Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer is a way better choice. Its brightening, just really comfortable, moisturizing, and it looks natural when applied. Both concealers are GREAT, it will basically come down to what your skin needs most :)

Torn between the two! Shocks. Hahahaha But I never get the feeling of wanting full coverage products because I feel my skin isn't “breathing” and it's more natural to have some skin showing through. (Am I making any sense here?) Hahaha

I've heard so many great things about both! Sadly the Collection one is not available where I live but I'm going to New Zealand at the end of the year where they recently launched so I'll make sure I buy it then!
Also YES I've watched the OUAT finale!!! I'm so devo about Regina and Robin, though I totally knew that chick was Marian. Dayum Emma! But YAAAYYY Captain Swan are finally togetherrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks so much for this sis! I'm actually been eyeing the NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer, I think it's time for me to branch out and try out other NARS products apart from their blushes. hehe. I love the fact that the concealer is creamy, I badly need that due to my dry skin. It's sucks coz some concealer are sooo amazing in terms of coverage and brightening but then it's so useless for me if they look flakey on my skin – it's a not so pretty look lol. Thanks for the review sis! Can't wait to get my hands on it. =D

Ooooh both the products sound good! I don't know which one I need more, full coverage or a brightening concealer. Pwede ba pareho? Hahaha. But I think I'd choose the Collection concealer too since it's soo affordable! :)

I'm really curious about these two! I might ask my mom to send me a collection concealer (along with pixi glow tonic which I really want but it's super hard to get…) because I've heard so many raves! I'm also curious about the nars one. I usually use 3 types of concealer ( yes I'm a concealer freak :P ) and this looks like a nice creamy one.
Oh and yeeessss, I saw the finale OMGFJHTJR, I seriously hope that they can fix Regina's problem…and I hope that they don't mess'up our new character!

It's been a while since I've watched Once Upon a Time. Last episode I watched was Mulan/Aurora. :( huhu Saw the Elsa clip and I am so going to be on this train. I love it already. Will update myself on the episodes up to the Elsa one :) Eeeek! So excited. I wonder what her backstory would be there?

This is a good review. At the end of the day, it's all about our preferences and what we need the most. I'm leaning towards Nars, because it has a lot more yellow to it. I have te collection concealer and it seems to pink for me.
How wonderful that the more inexpensive one worked out better for you. Currently I have two concealers (though one is technically a highlighter) that I love but they are both high-end products… but that wake-up effect sure is worth it :P especially because I have really dark circles under my eyes. meh. I still need to catch up on OUAT, but I read online that the finale was… well.. intense .. so I am intrigued :P
I would love to get the Color Collection one but isn't too pink? Do they have yellow-toned shades?

I need to remember to pick up the Collection concealer when I'm in Europe later in the year, since yeah, everyone raves about it! I picked up the wrong shade of NARS concealer, and since I use it to cover up my blemishes, my blemishes are now a touch darker than my skintone. Sad things.
(Also I totes feel u regarding the coming back into blogging and reading blogs and commenting thing. Sometimes I take long break and go back to commenting, and realise I love interacting with people…over the internet)

amagad i was so heartbroken for regina!! i was seriously pissed of at swan for bringing marian back, my poor bf had to listen to my rants for an hour lol. im also excited about the elsa twist. maybe she could be responsible for freezing marian in the next season :}

ah its good at doing that sis. i have dry under eye area since i usually dont get proper sleep but ever since i replaced my old concealer with this one it has gotten better. im sure my eye cream helped but im also pretty confident to say that the concealer did too :)
its available in some supermarket na sis. sayang lang cuz they only have 3 shades. OMG im so excited for that talaga. wonder if they are bringing in Olaf too <3

haha some people actually does that. they apply the brightening concealer on top of the full coverage one, i havent tried it yet but i should tho.. one of these days :D

me also! some are saying that it could be the evil version of elsa from the hans (forgot last name) books but maybe not din cause she was wearing the disney frozen gown :) i will be so happy if they include Olaf in the next season :D youll like the next ep. esp reginas — i think she has the best story line so far :)
i used to own a couple of MAC concealers in the past, and actually tried the news ones at the counter pero imho collection is still better talaga. try it sis its available at some supermalls na :)

they only have 3 shades on the counter :( this shade (2) blends nicely on my skintone naman, although rae mentioned that it was too pink for her (not sure what shade she got). shade 1 is almost the same as shade 2 but a lot lighter. and shade 3 is darker and little yellowish.
collection concealer is a good product to start up your make up kit sis :) at least in the rare case that you need coverage for random blemishes you can use it.

i rarely check FB but yes pliz add me! what shade are you currently using? maybe you can use it when you get a little tanner on your beach vacay! but idk that never happens to me. i bought a wrong foundation color which is two shades darker than my skintone — told myself ill use it when i get tanner but it never happens lol

Welcome back! <3 I've been using Fit Me Maybeline concealer for as long as I could remember, and it does a pretty good job, but still not good enough to hide my horrible dark circles! haha. I haven't heard of the Collection concealer before, but this post made me want to try it :)
I really wanted to try the NARS creamy concealer, love how it sounds like its moisturising! But I have to agree with you, the collection option is phenomenal for its price! I've not found such excellent coverage before and really don't know what I would do without the stuff! I'm so glad you can get it there quite easily!

I have the NARS concealer in honey, it does a really good job at masking dark circles! It's one of the few concealers that doesn't make me look cakey, and I like that it conceals without brightening. My sister has Custard, but it doesn't work as well as Honey does for me.

I first noticed noticed the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer when Donnarence of My Lucid Intervals raved about it last year and said it's her HG concealer. I keep forgetting to buy it. I so want to compare this with my HG concealer from Mary Kay since it's super affordable… which reminds me, I need to review it pala. LOL Anyway, I have another product from Collection which I'm super inlove with right now and I think it's nearing HG status….. hehe

if im not mistaken honey was my second choice of shade actually since its pink-ish :) i know someone who owns both shades (honey & custard) and she mixes both to get the perfect color. thats pretty expensive tho :)

oo nga sis! imishoo! :) the collection concealer is available at some dep. store. not sure with watsons but in metro gaisano malls they have a collection stall. nars naman from rustans but i highly suggest you get it online nalang through some sellers kase its cheaper that way :)

I don't have any highend concealers mainly because I'm pretty contented with my Collection concealer. This concealer definitely knows how to stay put.. it doesn't crease at all. Another drugstore concealer I'm loving is the one from Essence. The coverage is light though, but it's great for brightening the undereyes.

All the concealers I have tried so far settle into my fine lines and I gave up on using them. The Essence compact powder does cover a bit of the dark and it doesn’t settle into the lines, so I use that instead. I’ve realized that there are a couple of products that present better or very similar results to high end ones. It’s such a pleasure to find them! Unfortunately, none of those brands exist here in Portugal…

I've been hearing amazing stuff about the nars creamy concealer and have been eyeing it since forever. :) my Hg concealer as of the moment is from ZA cosmetics! it's so cheap and it does wonders for me! :)

My eyebags are not very dark but I'd like it brighter, which is why I use it, but I just have to make sure I check
in the mirror from time to time to make sure I don't have light tan lines below my eyesO_O
